THE DUNGEON SMALL BAND

The Dungeon Small Band owes its existence to The Dungeon Big Band which began its history in 2004, at the Dungeon under Adamstown Uniting Church. The Big Band (usually 17 members) gave birth to The Dungeon Small Band in April 2022, at Newcastle’s Christ Church Cathedral’s Concert for Ukraine.

Since then, the Small Band has performed around the Newcastle and Hunter area, proffering the tunes of the Big Band era, but on a smaller scale, and is continually expanding its repertoire to include intricate Latin numbers, bluesy tunes and everything in between.
