Sunday July 2, 12 noon, Christ Church Cathedral

Building on the success of their performance of Bach’s Cantata BWV 147 (Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben) in the 2019 Newcastle Music Festival, the Newcastle Music Festival Chamber Choir, led by director Christopher Allan, is ready to perform once more.

The Festival Chamber Choir will present a programme of great music centred around J.S. Bach’s magnificent motet ‘Lobet den Herrn’ (Praise the Lord). Flanking the motet will be performances of music by Vittoria, Palestrina, Bruckner and Stanford.
Some of Newcastle’s finest choral performers look forward to presenting wonderful and uplifting music. Join us for a concert which combines beautiful singing and great music!
