GRACE HILL

Grace Hill is fifteen years old and currently resides in Lake Macquarie. Her love of music began in early childhood music classes. Watching her teachers play inspired her to take up the piano, and she started having lessons at the age of four. In 2024, Grace was the winner of the Joyce Blewitt Award for Piano.
For the past three and a half years Grace has been studying under local piano teacher Andrew Chubb, developing her technique and performance skills, especially in classical music.
During this time Grace has competed in eisteddfods such as the Lake Macquarie and Taree District Eisteddfods, and has also performed in many Music Teachers Association (MTA) concerts and competitions. These opportunities have allowed her to gain confidence in performing, as well as a better understanding of music through listening to other people play.
Attending her local high school, Grace has also had the opportunity to play in small ensembles and accompany jazz vocalists.
Grace is currently working towards her Grade 7 AMEB exams. Recently she has also started learning the violin to broaden her experience and skills in music. Next year, she will be starting Music 2 for her HSC.
