JESSICA MILLER

Jessica Miller is a distinguished dance artist, choreographer, and educator, proudly hailing from Newcastle. Beginning her training at the age of three, she developed a strong technical foundation across ballet, character, jazz, and contemporary dance, setting the stage for an exceptional international career.
At just 16, Jessica was awarded the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance Solo Seal. She continued her training at Elmhurst Ballet School in the UK, where she worked alongside renowned artists Irek and Masha Mukhamedov. Her early success was marked by a bronze medal at the 2006 Genee International Ballet Competition in Hong Kong and recognition as a finalist in Young British Dancer of the Year.
Jessica performed with Birmingham Royal Ballet before joining Northern Ballet in 2007, where she rose to Soloist. Touring internationally, she performed leading roles across an extensive classical and contemporary repertoire, working with world-renowned choreographers including David Nixon CBE, Christopher Hampson CBE, Cathy Marston, and Jean-Christophe Maillot.
Now Head of the Full-Time Program at Newcastle Dance Academy, Jessica is an inspiring creative force. Her choreography is known for its musicality, sophistication, and emotional depth—beautifully showcased in works such as Pointes on Jazz and Carnival of the Animals. She is deeply passionate about nurturing the next generation of artists, bringing international expertise to every student she mentors.
