FESTIVAL CHOIR – Fauré’s Requiem

A feature of previous festivals has been the coming together of local singers to form the Festival Choir. This year the Choir will perform Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem in d minor, Op. 48, composed between 1887 and 1890. Peter Guy will accompany the performance on the magnificent Christ Church Cathedral organ. David Banney’s Missa Pace (Mass for Peace – ‘Latin Mass with additional texts by Naomi Johnson’), will have its world premiere at this concert.
